How escrow works

Last updated: 2026-07-01

On Dhmad.tn, the buyer pays into escrow first; DHMAD holds the funds until delivery is confirmed; then the seller is paid — or the buyer is refunded if the deal fails under platform rules.

1. Create

One party creates an escrow with amount, currency, description, and roles (buyer / seller). The other party is invited by link, email, or API checkout session.

2. Fund

The buyer accepts and pays with a supported method (wallet balance, card, bank transfer, mobile money, or PayPal where available). Funds are marked held — not yet available as a seller payout.

3. Deliver

The seller delivers the goods or service and marks delivery (or uploads proof when the flow requires it). The buyer reviews within the allowed window.

4. Release

When the buyer confirms (or auto-release rules apply), funds are released to the seller's wallet minus the platform fee. If there is a problem, open a dispute before release is final.
